Welcome to Bath BMX Club!
Bath BMX Club have been racing at the track since the early 80’s. Born out of the BMX craze that swept the UK in the 80’s, Bath BMX Club has supported riders and racers ever since.
The track is a Council owned facility and is an open track. This means that you can ride the track any time.
Please ride the track sensibly, wear appropriate clothing, helmet and gloves. To avoid clashes, the correct direction is from the start hill to the finish line.
Bath BMX Club pay the Council to use the track in structured sessions. This could be for training, gate practise or racing. Timings are always posted on social media and for everyone’s safety we restrict access at these times.
The Club is run entirely by volunteers with an ethos to make BMX accessible to all. This means keeping costs low, free equipment hire and structured coaching. We are a club for all ages, with members from the age of 4 years to 64 years.
Our Club is a British Cycling Affiliated Club. BC is the national governing body for cycle sports in Great Britain. This means we meet essential requirements for safe racing, all our activities are covered by BC insurance and coaching meets Level 2 BMX specific standards.
To ride safely you’ll need some equipment. During club sessions, we have bikes, helmets and gloves to lend out for free.
You’ll need a full face helmet, long fingered gloves, long trousers, long sleeves, suitable closed toe shoes and a bike!
Important to note that your bike should be well maintained with a working rear brake, bar ends and no stunt pegs.
